Counselling that meets you where you are.

Hi, I’m Tawny. A psychologist in Calgary who works with children, teens, adults, and families. My approach is gentle, collaborative, and rooted in building a supportive relationship where you can explore what’s going on and find your way forward.

I think of counselling a bit like tending a garden.

When something isn’t growing well, we rarely blame the plant. Instead, we look at the conditions around it — soil, sunlight, water, space, and time.

I approach counselling in a similar way. Together we explore the environments, relationships, and experiences that have shaped your life. Sometimes the problem isn’t you — it’s the conditions you’ve had to grow in.

My role is to help create a space where growth feels possible again.

Who I work with

Children (5–12)

Supporting emotional development, behaviour challenges, and family relationships.

A girl wearing a wide-brimmed hat and a dress, standing on a bed with one foot, in a room decorated with woven wall hangings and hats on the wall.

Adolescents (13–17)

Helping teens navigate identity, stress, emotions, and life transitions.

A woman with long hair running in an open grassy field during dusk or dawn, with trees in the background, captured in motion creating a blurred, artistic effect.

Adults (18+)

Working through anxiety, life changes, relationships, and personal growth.

Parents & Families

Helping families better understand one another and move forward together.

What working together looks like

1. Free Consultation

A short phone or video call to see if we’re a good fit.

Black and white photo of a cozy living room corner with a wooden shelving unit holding potted plants, a lamp, and decorative items. A table lamp on a round side table illuminates the room, casting shadows on the wall. There is a framed quote on the wall and a sofa with pillows and a throw blanket.

2. Your First Session

We explore what brings you in and what you’d like support with.

A living room with a dark gray armchair, a throw blanket, and a decorative pillow that reads 'Your feelings are valid'. Next to the armchair is a small wooden side table with a white vase containing dried flowers, a clock, and a striped table runner. Behind the armchair is a plain white wall with two landscape paintings hanging side by side.

3. Moving Forward Together

Sessions move at your pace as we build insight, tools, and resilience.

You don’t need to have everything figured out before getting in touch.

If you have any question before booking a consultation, I’ll be happy to help!
